I understand that you are wanting to schedule pictures as close as you can to Christmas and use them to create holiday cards. One thing that we have an ample amount of in our Fort Worth summers is LIGHT! The summer sun is shining down on us almost every day of the summer. You know how rare it is to get a rainy summer day, right? There will be very little chances that we would have to reschedule your family photography session due to cloudy, rainy weather. Let’s see those sunbeam shine through your windows!

Two-Flexibility in Planning your Photography Session

Next, I know for our busy family of five, we still will have stretches of days in the summer with very little on our calendar. Most everyone has more flexibility in the summer. Most of us are in less of a hurry to get places, there aren’t as many practices for sports, and no school activities. Now, in the fall, that is a whole different story PLUS you have to leave room in your calendar for TCU football games!

Three– Simple Decor for your photography session

Another great reason to have an indoor family session in the summertime is most people have much less seasonal decor out in their homes. Your home’s decor has a more natural and clean feel. You do not have to worry with putting away seasonal decor before your session, everything is a blank slate and does not distract from your session.

Another great reason, being summertime and living in the south, your clothing options are at their peak! There are so many options for kids clothing as well as adult clothing. Light weight, dresses, skirts, even pants that show movement can be found at all price points. Little ones can bare their legs and arms, and no one will get the chills. There is so much variety offered for summer clothing, that style selections are endless!

Five-Nostalgia

I believe, there is something magical about capturing memories in the summer. The actual season of summer automatically brings forth a feeling of nostalgia. You are most likely spending more time together as a family, swimming, playing in sprinklers, going on vacations, and making memories together.
