Fall family photography mini sessions are one of the highlights of my business year. One reason, I challenge myself by conducting shorter sessions in really great locations. Second, I get to see you! The majority of my mini session clients are returning families and it makes me so happy to see you all again!
First of all, let me clarify the photographer lingo of mini sessions. What is a mini session? Mini sessions are much shorter in length of time. Also, the majority of mini sessions will be focused on group posing. I usually start a mini session with the whole family looking at me, then we will slowly evolve into more playful ‘poses,’ called lifestyle photography. If there is any time remaining, I will take individuals of your children.
This fall I chose four locations in the Fort Worth area for mini sessions. Let’s take a closer look at these locations….
The Lumen Room
First, the Lumen Room is an indoor studio that allows photographers to rent the space for photo sessions and small events. It is a clean space full of light walls and great sunlight streaming through the windows. I love utilizing the Lumen Room for afternoon sessions. The best about the Lumen Room…no reschedules due to weather! The Lumen Room offers a variety of textured walls and backdrops. Also, there are various couches and chairs we can use for your session. During the holidays, they leave a Christmas Tree and sometimes a large wreath for us to use.
Field at Sunset
Second, I have a favorite field area I enjoy using for family photography. It has easy access to parking and has a variety of vegetation such as trees, shrubs, native grasses, succulents, and an occasional wildflower. The sunsets in just the right spot allowing me to capture you and your family in a beautiful glow. This is becoming a VERY popular spot for other photographers. You will notice I use this location more on weeknights or early fall weekends to beat the rush of other photographers.
The Magnolia Ave. Area
Next, years ago, I had a family photo session of my own family walking the Magnolia Ave. area. My kids had so much fun and were so busy watching and looking at everything in the shops, that it turned out to be a very natural and authentic session. This is my second fall using the Magnolia Area. I love to use the buildings around Melt and the large sidewalks to capture your family walking around together. Its’s a great space for young and older children.
Your Home
Well, this one is fairly self explanatory. I always try to incorporate either your yard or an in-home option for fall family photography mini sessions. This year, the in-home option has already sold out. However, you can add your name to my waitlist. If weather is not an issue with any of my mini sessions, I will have some extra time in early November for a session. I will let you know if you decide to hop on my waitlist what to prospect is of adding more in-home sessions. They are fantastic for those needing mid-day times.
Yet again, I am so thankful you have chosen me to capture your beautiful family. I am looking forward to seeing everyone!
