Spring Break in Fort Worth is coming up, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve got two choices: plan an elaborate trip that leaves you more exhausted than before, or figure out how to keep the kids entertained without breaking the bank. Luckily, you don’t have to go far to have an amazing Spring Break—the Fort Worth area is packed with hidden gems just waiting to be explored! There are so many great spring break activities in Fort Worth.
Best Outdoor Activities For Spring Break in Fort Worth

There are several spring Break activities in Fort Worth in the great outdoors. Many will say the zoo is their favorite, and I would have to agree. However, spring break is not the time to go to the zoo, unless crowds do not bother you. I prefer the Botanic Gardens during spring break. The Fort Worth Botanic Gardens are a beautiful maze of gardens and trails. It’s a great place to take a picnic lunch and create a scavenger hunt card for your kids.
Dream Park is a ceusitful new park to explore along the Trinity River. This park is another popular place to play, however, if you go early, it’s not too bad. Another favorite park is Tillery Park. It is tuck back into a neighborhood and is still a favorite of ours.
Log Cabin Village is a hidden gem! It offers a unique spring break activity in Fort Worth and allows families to experience to step back in time with hands on pioneer life activities.
Indoor Fun for a Rainy Spring Break Day

I have heard around town that we have a new indoor adventure, Peppa Pig World of Play. If Peppa is your family’s favorite character, why not take the time to see what this exciting new theme park is like?
One of our local book stores, Monkey and Dog Books, offers weekly story times. They have a phenomenal staff and one of the best collections of books in Fort Worth. If they do not have what you are looking for, their staff will order your book. Another perk, is there is a new coffee shop in the same shopping area. Now, that is a win! Coffee, a snack treat, and story time? What could be better!
Another indoor option, that is more for the active sort, is Altitude Trampoline Park. It is exactly what it is and will make your kids tired! I loved getting my girls out for an adventure that allowed them to burn some energy. It always made our afternoons quiet and restful.
Unique Fort Worth Experiences
The Fort Worth Stockyards has undergone a makeover. This area is full of small boutiques and restaurants. It offers a daily cattle drive and the Stockyard Station has a petting zoo.
The Modern Museum of Art is another great indoor and unique option. They offer programs for children. It’s another great place to take a scavenger hunt type list to have have your children look for different items hidden in the art. Again, pack a lunch for afterwards and let your littles run around on the museum grounds.
Finally, you can’t adventure out in Fort Worth and not stop and get a sweet treat. Our favorites include Melt Ice Creams or Batter and Beans Donuts.
