Becoming a Fort Worth family photographer was truly a dream I had for several years, but was hesitant to take the plunge. After all, my background was teaching and I thought once my children were older, I would have to go back into the classroom. Well, determination and willfulness won over. After years of practice, capturing family and friends, I realized my potential and started Allison Krogness Photography. Fort Worth is my home and while raising a family here, it has a special place in my heart. Capturing families in the neighborhoods I drive through on a regular basis and in the parks and gardens I know so well has become my dream job.
Capturing Precious First Moments
First of all, I have had the pleasure of photographing many, many newborns both in homes and in hospitals. Newborn photography preserves your family’s memories in these first blurred weeks of having a newborn baby. These images are extremely important to document because as well all know too well, the newborn stage is a big adjustment. Lack of sleep and emotions make it difficult to remember everything, but having photographs will forever capture those days.
I have also had the absolute pleasure of photographing newborns in many Fort Worth Hospitals for First 48 sessions. It brings back a flood of memories for me as I return to the the very hospitals I delivered my girls in or had follow up appointments at.
The Joy of Watching Families Grow
Second, being a newborn photographer in Fort Worth has allowed me the opportunity to watch families grow. I have captured newborn sessions, milestone sessions, and mini sessions for several families. I usually capture the same families year to year through my fall family mini sessions. It is so rewarding to watch client’s children grow from newborns to siblings, and even high school graduates. I am so thankful I can contribute to their family’s visual history.
Exploring Fort Worth’s Beautiful Photography Locations
Next, Fort Worth has some of the best photography spots. After living in Fort Worth for almost 25 years, I have scoured several locations that I enjoy using for family photoshoots in and around Fort Worth. For newborn sessions, I love to capture families in their homes. However, some sessions are best suited for the outdoors. I have photographed several families at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. The fall and spring are lovely for family and motherhood photography sessions. Marion Samson Park in north Fort Worth has a beautiful overlook spot and rugged background that I have used for several family and maternity sessions. The Magnolia Neighborhood has been a great backdrop for families and senior sessions. Finally, if indoors is more appropriate for the session, the Lumen Room is a fabulous location. Fort Worth is fortunate to have three Lumen Room locations.
I am so thankful to not only call Fort Worth my families home, but to also call myself a Fort Worth photographer. Through the last 4 years I have photographed countless Fort Worth newborns and families. If you are in the Fort Worth area, I would love to be part of your family’s journey through beautiful photographs. If you want to learn more about my services, check this out!
