In this informal chat, we'll discuss how your session will flow, what you and your family can expect, and how you can best be prepared for the experience.

During your session, I will follow your child's lead. Whether your child is energetic and ready to play or is more reserved and quiet, I have little tricks and games I have collected over the years of working with children and photographing families. The magic will happen - I promise!
After your session, you can expect to have your gallery delivered to you within 3 weeks. Every gallery includes rights to download and print your images.

what's the best time of day for family photos?
Full Fort Worth family photography sessions typically last about 50 minutes, which gives us plenty of time to capture a mix of posed and candid moments while keeping things relaxed and fun for everyone. If you’ve booked one of my seasonal fall mini sessions, those are shorter at 20 minutes, but still provide a playful and natural experience with a beautiful collection of images. Both options are designed to fit your family’s needs—whether you’re looking for a full gallery of portraits or a quick update for your holiday cards and gallery walls.
what if my kids don't cooperate?
Please don’t stress—kids will be kids, and that’s part of the magic! With my background as both a former teacher and a mom of three girls, I know how to connect with little ones and keep sessions playful and relaxed. During Fort Worth family photography sessions, I follow the lead of your children, encouraging movement, laughter, and natural interactions instead of stiff poses. Even if your kids are shy, wiggly, or extra energetic, I promise we’ll capture beautiful, genuine moments that truly reflect your family. Some of the best photos often come from those candid, in-between moments when your kids are just being themselves.
how soon will I get my photos?
I know how excited you’ll be to see your images, so I work hard to deliver your gallery as quickly as possible. Typically, your Fort Worth family photography gallery will be ready within 3 weeks of your session. During busier times of year—like fall—I’ll let you know the expected delivery timeframe so there are no surprises. You’ll receive a beautiful online gallery with your edited images, ready to download, share, and use for everything from holiday cards to wall art.
For outdoor family photography in DFW, I recommend scheduling your session during golden hour—the first hour after sunrise or the last hour before sunset. This light is soft, flattering, and creates the warm glow that makes outdoor family sessions so timeless and beautiful. If we’re photographing in your home or in a natural light studio, the timing is much more flexible, and we’ll choose the part of the day when your family feels most relaxed. Whether indoors or outdoors, my goal is to make your family photography session comfortable, fun, and full of connection.
