I also include a pre-session phone call, because I love connecting with my families ahead of time. We'll talk through how your session will unfold, which rooms in your home will photograph best for lifestyle newborn photography, and any little details that will help you feel relaxed.

In this informal chat, we'll discuss how your session will flow, what you and your family can expect, and how you can best be prepared for the experience.
session day + gallery delivery
During your session, I will follow your child's lead. Whether your child is energetic and ready to play or is more reserved and quiet, I have little tricks and games I have collected over the years of working with children and photographing families. The magic will happen - I promise!
After your session, you can expect to have your gallery delivered to you within 3 weeks. Every gallery includes rights to download and print your images.

when should i book my newborn session?
do you provide props or posing?
My approach to DFW newborn photography is simple and natural—I focus on your baby and your family’s connection, not on props or elaborate setups. Instead of placing your baby in baskets or with heavy styling, I’ll gently guide you into moments of holding, cuddling, and interacting together. This lifestyle style of newborn photography feels timeless and genuine, capturing the love, emotion, and real beauty of your family as you welcome your little one home. These are the kinds of images that will always feel authentic when you look back years from now.
what if my baby is fussy during the session?
Please don’t worry—fussiness is completely normal, and I always plan extra time for feeding, soothing, and little breaks throughout your session. As a DFW newborn photographer (and a mom myself), I know that babies have their own rhythms, and I work with that flow instead of against it. I use a fast camera and a relaxed, lifestyle approach, which means I’m able to capture genuine, love-filled images even if your baby needs extra cuddles. Some of the sweetest newborn photographs often come from those quiet in-between moments of comforting your little one.
Booking in your second trimester ensures that your spot is reserved on my calendar, giving us plenty of time to plan your session around your due date. As a DFW newborn photographer, I only take a limited number of newborn and maternity photography sessions each month so I can give every family the attention they deserve. If your baby has already arrived, don’t worry—I can often accommodate last-minute sessions and still create timeless, love-filled images that capture this fleeting season.
how old should my baby be for newborn photos?
The 2–6 week window is wonderful because your baby is still new, snuggly, and often sleepy, which helps capture those natural newborn details and sweet family moments. I’ve found this stage allows parents a little time to settle in at home while still preserving the tiny features and emotions of the newborn season. Even if your baby is a bit older, your session can still be full of connection, joy, and the little details that make this chapter unforgettable
