Baby Number Three, the icing on the cake for this Fort Worth family

I have three girls. My oldest is 17, my middle daughter is 14 and my youngest is a precocious 9. When I had the opportunity to capture an in home newborn photography session for this sweet family welcoming their third child I immediately felt a connection.

We started by getting the baby ready in the parent’s room.  The master bed is usually a great place to incorporate if the baby’s nursery lacks natural light. This special helper was a bonus!

During an in home newborn session, I love being able to  showcase and capture all the sweet newborn details. Their little toes and how they fit “just so” in your arms. 

Including your older children

If you  have older children, it is my joy to capture moments between your newborn and your older children. The ways your older children respond and connect to the new baby. 

Some older children do not want a lot to do with the new baby. Guess what? That is absolutely normal. I’ve had it in my own home and I have seen it with other children. Then, there are some siblings that cannot get enough of the new baby, and that was the case here!

Both brother and sister wanted to hold their sweet baby and take part in the session. This beautifully decorated home also had the advantage of ample natural light in the areas of the home that the family creates memories. It was an ideal setting.

Your Home Plays a Role in your newborn photography session

This beautiful home had a one large open kitchen and living room and at the time of the session had ample natural light. I was so thankful to include these areas where the family spends so much time together. Preparing your home for a newborn session is much easier than you think, really it is! One thing you will always discover in my sessions is the amount of time you will be holding your newborn. I do not use props and rarely take pictures of your newborn without some connection to a family member. I love capturing these priceless details!

We ended this newborn session on the families porch where they spend so much time together or enjoy having their doors open. I wanted to include this area for them. It was a little chilly that day, but they were champs and we were able to capture several sweet moments!
